For We Are Not Fighting Against Flesh-And-Blood Enemies, But Against Evil Rulers And Authorities Of The Unseen World …

For We Are Not Fighting
Against Flesh-And-Blood Enemies,
But Against Evil Rulers And Authorities Of The Unseen World …
Scripture
Ephesians 6
10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Observation
It is helpful if you and I know who are real enemies are! The fight that we are in is not against flesh-and-blood enemies. Your wife or your husband is not your enemy. Your neighbor of color (red, yellow, black or white) is not your real enemy. Politicians and/or the police they are not your real enemies.
The real enemies that want to divide and destroy us are the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world. Satan and his cronies are hard at work these days.
Evil is rampant ... everywhere!
If you and I want to survive the attacks of our real enemies then we had better put on the whole armor of God that the Apostle describes in Ephesians 6.
Ephesians 6:13-18
13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.

14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.

15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.

16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.

17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
Application
I am putting on God's armor to be able to face this day.
How about you? Still thinking that your enemies are flesh-and-blood?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me look at what is going on in my world right now through Your eyes. Evil is rampant, but I know that none of this surprises You. I pray for godly leaders. Raise up leaders who can walk us through this difficult time. Protect me and my family from the evil around us and help me to be a light in the middle of all of this darkness.
Daily Bible Reading: Song 1,2,3,4; Ephesians 6
