Repent Of Your Sins And Turn To God, For The Kingdom Of Heaven Is Near.

Repent Of Your Sins
And Turn To God,
For The Kingdom Of Heaven Is Near.
Scripture
Matthew 3
1 In those days John the Baptist came to the Judean wilderness and began preaching. His message was,

2 “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.

Observation
The message of John the Baptist and the message of Jesus to us is this: REPENT! The word 'repent' is the most positive word in the English language! It is the only way that you and I can experience the abundant life that God wants us to experience. Yes … we must repent of our sins and turn to God.
Have you made that U-Turn yet? Or are you still living life for yourself?
My friend, it is time to repent!
Jesus said this in Luke 13:1-5 “About this time Jesus was informed that Pilate had murdered some people from Galilee as they were offering sacrifices at the Temple. “Do you think those Galileans were worse sinners than all the other people from Galilee?” Jesus asked. “Is that why they suffered? 3 Not at all! And you will perish, too, unless you repent of your sins and turn to God. 4 And what about the eighteen people who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them? Were they the worst sinners in Jerusalem? 5 No, and I tell you again that unless you repent, you will perish, too.”
It is not good people that go to Heaven and bad people that go to Hell. It is forgiven people that go to Heaven. When you and I turn from sin and self and turn to God and when we ask Jesus to forgive our sins that is when we know that we are going to Heaven.
Application
I will keep sharing with people the Good News that Jesus saves!
Do you know Him? Have you repented of your sins and turned to God?
Prayer

Heavenly Father, I am so glad that You brought someone into my life to tell me about Jesus Christ. Thank You for saving me.
I pray for any person reading this blog. Help them to repent and turn to You. Show them what they need to do. Bless them, Lord. May Your face shine on them. Give them the courage to turn around and place their trust in You.
