Fix Your Thoughts On What Is True, And Honorable, And Right, And Pure, And Lovely, And Admirable. Think About Things That Are Excellent And Worthy Of Praise.

Fix Your Thoughts On What Is True,
And Honorable, And Right, And Pure, And Lovely, And Admirable.
Think About Things That Are Excellent And Worthy Of Praise.
Scripture
Philippians 4
8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
Observation
If we are constantly listening to the so-called news on television, on the radio, or on the internet, regardless of whether it is coming from a liberal source or a conservative source ... we are not fixing our thoughts on what is true!
Yes, let's be informed but let's not swallow hook, line, and sinker everything that we hear as the truth!
Let me suggest that we fix our thoughts on what is true by spending time opening up and reading our Bibles. It is where you and I can find truth!
So I say just as the Apostle Paul said to the Philippians, “Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”
Application
I will think and meditate on God's Word today.
How about you?
Philippians 4:6-7
6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we desperately need the truth of Your Word. So much of what we hear is not true. Guide me. Help me to see and understand what is happening in our country and in the world today through the filter of Your Word. Your Word is truth. It is trustworthy. Help me to rely on Your promises more than the empty promises made by men and women who are trying to get me to side with them. Give me wisdom, Lord.
