What Authority
And Power
This Man’s Words Possess!

Scripture

Luke 4

³⁶ Amazed, the people exclaimed, “What authority and power this man’s words possess! Even evil spirits obey him, and they flee at his command!” ³⁷ The news about Jesus spread through every village in the entire region.

Observation

As we begin reading through the Bible again this year you and I are going to see and experience the power of the Word of God. 

Jesus Christ as described in John 1:1-4,14: “In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood.”

Jesus Christ, as you and I trust in Him, will change our lives. 

As we read, meditate, trust, believe, depend, and act on His Word this year our lives will be different. 

It will be an Amazing Year, as we get serious about putting Him first! 

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33

 

Application

I will look forward to reading God’s Word everyday this year! How about you? 

Prayer

Heavenly Father, as I read my Bible I know that it is Your love story revealing just how much You love us. Every page and every book points to and directs us to Jesus Christ, to His Authority and His Power. There is Power in His Name. I look forward to discovering new things as I read Your Word this year. Help others that are trying to read Your Word everyday. Help them to be successful. Help them to grow in their relationship with You.
