The Name Of The Lord Jesus

Live In A Way That Pleases God …

Thessalonians 4
1
Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the
Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you.

God has called us to live holy lives, not impure lives.
Observation
Every
day you and I have a choice to either live out the day in a way that
pleases God or yield to and indulge in lustful passions. As I write
this blog on my computer I realize that with a couple of clicks of
the mouse that instead of reading my Bible on BibleGatewayDotCom
which I do every morning I could look at pornographic images.
It
is estimated that 50% of the men in our churches struggle with
pornography. I have been told that it is one of the hardest
addictions that both men and women face.

Application
I
am human just like you are and I have to make the choice today just
like you have to make. I choose to live out this day in a way that
pleases God.
How
about you? Will you make the choice to live today in a way that
pleases God.
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, nobody knows me like You do. You know my thoughts. You know
my weaknesses. You know my strengths. I need your help to live out
this day in a way that pleases You. There is always the temptation to
sin. It is constantly before me. Help me to not yield to the
temptation.
I
pray for any brother or sister in Christ who is struggling with the
addiction of pornography. Give them the courage to get help. Don't
let them keep this struggle hidden. Help them to walk in victory and
in purity.
