Will Is For You To Be Holy,
So
Stay
Away From All Sexual Sin.
Scripture
1
Thessalonians 4
1
Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of
the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught
you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even
more.
4 Then each
of you will control his own body and live in holiness and
honor— 5 not in lustful passion like the pagans who do
not know God and his ways.
6 Never harm
or cheat a fellow believer in this matter by violating his wife, for
the Lord avenges all such sins, as we have solemnly warned you
before.
Observation
We
are in a spiritual battle. Satan and his cronies (demons) are waging
all out war and are dead set on destroying us and destroying our
families.
One
of his primary weapons that he uses against us is sex. Sex is
something that God has created as something wonderful for a married
couple, but Satan has taken something wonderful and he has perverted
it into something totally opposite from what our Creator intended.
Outside
of marriage … sex always, yes always destroys … Satan whispers
thoughts like these in our ears: “It is okay to have sex even
though we are not married, God doesn't really care.” “It is okay
to get involved sexually with this woman who is not my wife, because
my wife is not meeting my needs.” “Looking at pornography doesn't
hurt anyone … it is only images.”
My
friend, try to justify it any way that you want but sex outside of
marriage is wrong and it is being used against us by Satan. He wants
you and your family destroyed.
Satan
wants our kids to have several sets of parents or no father at all.
Satan does not want our children to grow up living with a Mom and Dad
that love each other.
There
is a spiritual battle being waged against us.
Lets
not allow Satan have the pleasure of using sexual immorality in our
lives to destroy us. “God has
called us to live holy lives, not impure lives.” (1 Thessalonians
4:7)
So
lets stay away from all sexual sin. And lets live in a way that
pleases God!
Application
I
will enjoy the wife of youth. The grass is not greener on the other
side of the fence!
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, help me to guard myself against sexual immorality. Help me to
keep my eyes focused on Kathy and don't let them wander. Guard my
heart Lord. Keep me away from all sexual sin. Help me to live in a
way that pleases You. I pray for anyone reading this blog today. Help
them to run from sexual sin. Give them the strength and the courage
to run. Help them to do the right thing today!
I
pray for my sister Linda today on her birthday! Bless her Lord. May
Your face shine brightly on her today!
